During the application of a ceramic coating, the residual product removal (or leveling) stage is crucial. This step eliminates high and low spots, ensuring the coating cures evenly for maximum clarity. When leveling, it's essential to use a clean towel, as the coating residue begins to cure within the fibers, which can harden and potentially scratch the surface.
Experienced installers optimize their towel usage by folding it twice, creating FOUR 8"x8" sections. As each section is used, the applicator cloth is flipped and re-folded to expose a fresh side.
However, keeping track of used and unused sections can be challenging.
This towel is marked with numbers 1-4, allowing detailers to easily track their usage during the leveling process. This system is also effective for:
- Compound removal and buffing
- Wax/sealant removal and buffing
- APC/dressing removal and finishing (interiors)
- And much more uses.
With these numbers markings, the towel is maximixed, surface is not contaminated, thus work becomes efficient.
