DETAIL LAB MW-AC – Acidic Car Wash Shampoo
Acidic Maintenance Wash for Mineral Deposits & Coated Vehicles
Detail Lab MW-AC is an acidic car wash shampoo formulated to help remove mineral deposits, water spots, and accumulated inorganic contamination that regular neutral shampoos may leave behind.
With its acidic formula (pH approximately 3), MW-AC provides deeper cleaning during the contact-wash stage while helping restore the appearance, gloss, and water-repellent behavior of coated surfaces.
It is particularly useful as a maintenance wash for ceramic-coated and protected vehicles, especially when mineral buildup begins to affect water beading and sheeting.
KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Acidic Cleaning Formula – Helps dissolve mineral-based contamination and deposits.
- Water Spot Maintenance – Helps reduce light mineral deposits and water-spot buildup.
- Coating Maintenance – Helps remove contaminants that can interfere with the hydrophobic behavior of coatings.
- Gloss Enhancement – Leaves the paint looking cleaner and brighter after washing.
- Hydrophobicity Restoration – Helps restore the water-repellent behavior of coated surfaces by removing surface contamination.
- Professional Detailing Shampoo – Ideal for periodic maintenance of coated and protected vehicles.
HOW TO USE
1. Pre-Rinse
Thoroughly rinse the vehicle to remove loose dirt, dust, and heavy contamination.
2. Prepare the Wash Solution
Dilute MW-AC with clean water according to the manufacturer's recommended dilution. 1:10 for Foam Cannon, 1:200 for manual pump sprayer. Prepare fresh solution before washing.
3. Wash Panel by Panel
Using a clean microfiber wash mitt, gently wash the vehicle from the top down. Work one section at a time.
4. Allow Controlled Contact
Allow the acidic solution enough contact time to work on mineral contamination. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
5. Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse each section completely with clean water or a pressure washer.
6. Dry the Vehicle
Dry immediately using a clean, high-quality drying towel or suitable drying equipment.
7. Inspect the Surface
Check the paint for remaining mineral deposits. For heavier or bonded water spots, a dedicated water-spot remover or mechanical correction may be required.
RECOMMENDED FOR
Ceramic-Coated Vehicles – Periodic maintenance and removal of mineral buildup
Paint Protection – Maintenance of coated and sealed surfaces
Paintwork – Removal of light mineral contamination
Water-Spot Maintenance – Helps address fresh/light deposits before they become heavily bonded
WHEN TO USE MW-AC
MW-AC is especially useful when a coated vehicle shows:
- Reduced water beading
- Poor water sheeting
- Mineral deposits after rain or washing
- Light water-spot buildup
- Dullness caused by surface contamination
For coated vehicles, MW-AC can be incorporated as a periodic decontamination wash, rather than being used as the everyday shampoo.
IMPORTANT
- Use on a cool surface and out of direct sunlight.
- Never allow the product to dry on the vehicle.
- Rinse thoroughly after washing.
- Avoid prolonged contact with sensitive or acid-sensitive surfaces.
- Always test on an inconspicuous area before first use.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment when handling concentrated chemicals.
- For heavily bonded or etched water spots, use an appropriate dedicated water-spot removal process.
DETAIL LAB IFR – Iron Fallout Remover
Powerful Iron & Brake Dust Decontamination
Detail Lab IFR is a reactive iron fallout remover formulated to dissolve embedded iron particles, brake dust, rail dust, and other ferrous contamination from automotive surfaces.
Ideal for wheels, painted surfaces, and lower body panels, IFR chemically reacts with iron contamination to loosen and dissolve stubborn metallic particles with minimal mechanical agitation. It is an excellent step for deep decontamination and paint preparation before polishing, waxing, sealant, or ceramic coating application.
Key Features & Benefits
- Iron Fallout Removal – Dissolves embedded ferrous particles and brake dust.
- Low Irritant Smell – Not like other iron remover that has strong pungent smell
- Reactive Formula – Changes color as it reacts with iron contamination.
- Deep Decontamination – Helps remove contaminants that normal washing cannot eliminate.
- Versatile Application – Suitable for wheels, paintwork, and exterior surfaces.
- Reduces Mechanical Agitation – Chemical reaction helps loosen contamination before rinsing.
- Ideal for Coating Preparation – Helps achieve a cleaner surface before polishing and paint protection.
HOW TO USE
1. Wash & Rinse
Remove loose dirt and heavy contamination. Rinse the surface thoroughly.
2. Apply IFR
Spray evenly onto the contaminated surface. Work panel by panel when applying to paintwork.
3. Allow to React
Allow the product to dwell and react with the iron contamination. A purple/violet color change indicates the presence of reactive iron particles.
4. Do Not Allow to Dry
Keep the surface wet with product during the dwell period. Avoid using under direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
5. Agitate if Necessary
For heavy contamination, gently agitate with an appropriate detailing brush or microfiber wash mitt.
6. Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse completely using a pressure washer or strong stream of water until all product and dissolved contamination are removed.
7. Continue Decontamination if Required
For coating preparation, inspect the surface and follow with mechanical decontamination or clay treatment if necessary. Polish as required before applying protection.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS
Wheels: Brake dust • Iron deposits • Metallic contamination
Paintwork: Iron fallout • Industrial fallout • Embedded metallic particles
Lower Panels: Road contamination • Brake dust • Metallic fallout
Coating Preparation: Decontamination before polishing and paint protection
IMPORTANT
- Use on a cool surface and out of direct sunlight.
- Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
- Rinse thoroughly after use.
- Always test on an inconspicuous area before full application.
- Avoid prolonged contact with sensitive or untested surfaces.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during use.
- Refer to the product label and SDS for complete safety and handling information.
