CLEAN. Decon Shampoo is a specialised car wash shampoo designed to safely clean paintwork while helping remove light contamination. Unlike traditional shampoos that focus purely on lubrication and dirt removal, this formula is engineered to assist in breaking down embedded contaminants during the washing stage.
This makes it particularly useful when maintaining coated vehicles or preparing paintwork prior to protection. The formula works to remove traffic film and light contamination while remaining safe for regular vehicle washing.

Decon Shampoo combines cleaning ability with decontamination support, helping to remove grime and contamination that may not be lifted by standard car shampoos alone. This makes it particularly useful when preparing the vehicle for further detailing steps such as polishing or protection.
How to use:
For use as a prewash snow foam:
Dilution ratio depends on your type of pressure washer & foam cannon setup, and water hardness. Adjust soap amount for desired foam thickness.
- We generally recommend diluting 1:10 in the foam cannon (for example: 3 oz (90 ml) of soap per 30 oz (900 ml) of water).
- Spray on the surface, and let it dwell for 1-2 minutes - do not let it dry.
- Avoid direct sunlight and work on cool surfaces.
- Rinse thoroughly with a strong stream of water.
For use as a bucket wash shampoo:
- Dilute 1:256 (for example: 2 oz (60 ml) in 4 gal (15 L) of water).
- Wash using a microfiber wash mitt or preferred wash media.
- Rinse thoroughly with water.

CLEAN. Decon Shampoo is designed for those moments when a normal maintenance wash just isn’t quite enough. When we’re looking to strip away accumulated grime, road film, and older protection layers to properly reset the surface, this is the sort of shampoo we bring into the process.
Technically, it’s formulated to deliver stronger cleaning power than a typical pH-neutral wash, helping remove stubborn contamination that can dull gloss or interfere with fresh protection. Used periodically rather than every wash, it’s very effective at preparing paint for polishing, sealants, or ceramic coatings.
In use, we find it produces good lubrication and strong cleaning action, allowing us to safely remove built-up dirt and residues without resorting to multiple separate chemicals. That simplicity can make decontamination stages feel far more efficient.
Because of its deeper cleaning ability, we tend to use it strategically — for example before applying a new protection layer or when the surface simply needs a proper reset.
For us, Decon Shampoo is a useful tool when we want to bring the paint back to a clean slate before moving into correction or protection stages.
